I have a wordpress.org 2.7 website at which I want to sell products through Clickbank. As the sale is completed I want the client to be sent to a download Page on that site. How can I keep that page secret from SE spiders and also stop it being pinged as it’s uploaded (and anyone else)? Or do I need to go to a password protected page (which might be against Clickbank rules) – if so, how do I do that?

You have to have your own website in order to control which page is secret to public.
For example: your download page look like that: www.yourdomain.com
you need to upload your download webpage file to this domain, and also you need to upload a robot.txt file, inside this text file you put ” User-agent: *
Disallow: / ”
No search engine will show your page to public.
