Nexcess Announces New WordPress Hosting Platform

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) November 11, 2011

Nexcess, a web hosting provider with data center facilities in Dearborn and Southfield, Michigan, has announced the release of a new web hosting platform that is designed specifically for hosting WordPress web sites.

While many web hosting companies tend to carry a very generic focus in their product lineups, Nexcess has spent their 10+ years in the web hosting industry focusing on being very good at providing hosting for just a few scripts. This is shown very clearly in the company’s relationship with eBay-owned Magento, with which Nexcess maintains a gold level partnership, a title held by only four other companies. As with Nexcess’ popular Magento MAG-SIP hosting plans (which stands for Secure Isolated Platform), the new WordPress web hosting options (similarly titled WP-OBP, or “Optimized Blog Platform”), are a unique and isolated web hosting environment that has been specially optimized for the best possible web hosting experience for a WordPress site.

“Blog hosting is a competitive market, but so was the eCommerce hosting market when we first entered into it now more than a decade ago,” commented Chris Wells, President & CEO of Nexcess, “We believe that the same approach to hosting solutions that won us our close relationship with Magento will translate very nicely in bringing the perfect set of blog hosting plans to the WordPress community.”

To start the company’s new relationship with the WordPress community off on the right foot, Nexcess also announced last month that they will be sponsoring WordCamp Detroit 2011, set to take place this coming weekend. At this event, representatives from Nexcess will be available ‘in the flesh’, and ready to discuss everything that the company is doing to provide a web hosting environment that is truly optimized for the best possible WordPress blogging experience.

Nexcess to Be Enterprise Sponsor at WordCamp Detroit

Ann Arbor, Michigan (PRWEB) October 17, 2011

Nexcess, a managed web hosting company with data centers located in Dearborn and Southfield, Michigan, has announced their role as an Enterprise Sponsor of WordCamp Detroit 2011. WordCamp is an informal local conference that covers a wide variety of topics that relate to WordPress.

Attendees of this year’s WordCamp Detroit event will be able to meet with key members of the Nexcess team. These personnel should be available throughout the entire conference to discuss a wide array of web hosting products, Nexcess’ Michigan data center facilities, and what features and optimizations the company has done for WordPress hosting in general. A further announcement from Nexcess can also be expected before the conference date, which regards new hosting products specially designed for WordPress blog owners.

“We’ve always been big fans of WordPress at Nexcess, but in the coming months, we’ll be making a lot of exciting announcements that should be interesting to our WordPress hosting clients in particular,” commented Chris Wells, President & CEO of Nexcess, “We’re really looking forward to being a part of this WordCamp event here in the Detroit area and involving ourselves more deeply with the WordPress community in the very near future.”

This year’s Detroit WordCamp event will be taking place on November 12 and 13 at the Renaissance Center. While the schedule of speakers is still being determined, expectations for this year’s Detroit conference are high, building upon the success of last year’s sold out WordCamp event in Detroit, as well as new support from the WordPress Foundation for this year’s gathering. Early bird tickets are currently available for this event $ 35 with discount accommodations available at the Marriott Hotel located inside the Renaissance Center. Space at this year’s event is again limited, however, and is expected to fill up quickly.
